Prone to staying up late; after purchase, playing this atmospheric wonder deep into the night; this whilst reading Gene Tierney's, Self Portrait; realizing the ephemeral nature of our lives; no escaping the vicissitudes of The Wheel. There would seem to be only one way to freedom; the narrowest of paths. Thoughts. Jeff Richardson
The Best Batushka album so far. A Black Metal Classic!!!
There are few albums that I can listen to from start to finish without skipping a track and this is on the top of the list. You almost have to listen to the album as a whole.
Do yourself a favor and buy this album
The true follow up to this album is Krzysztof Drabikowski Панихида (Panihida). Bart's Раскол / Raskol EP is also a good follow up to this album as well just not as close as Panihida sounds.

This music has access to me quite alot. It feels familiar, intimate. Something rare happened, its not just good metal this time.
It makes me feel happy like Im in a place that seems home. Like before this life, or after.
I know this reads like what you would expect of a bandcamp comment. But its not like that... undd_sorcery
An outstanding slab of atmospheric black metal, “Sisyphus” cannily blends texture and terror for a gripping final product. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 7, 2021
If “atmospheric black metal” implies majestic comedowns and dramatic dynamics, this powerhouse instead constitutes anti-atmospheric black metal. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 23, 2021
this album is nothing short of amazing from start to finish. this is one of those rare albums where every track is perfectly done, and as you can see from the other reviews to the great salt water is unexplainably good. the album is beautiful and harsh with the ability to take you to your own world, it can relax you or get you crazy pumped. this is in my favorite albums ever ramportin1
